Today blog post is a product review for Perfecting Concealer, the latest product launch from Mirabella Beauty. Mirabella is a mineral makeup line created in 2002 by working makeup artists. All of the products in the Mirabella cosmetic line are free of controversial or harmful ingredients, including the brand’s new Perfecting Concealer. Perfecting Concealer is a mineral based long-wear concealer that is free of talc, parabens, gluten and FD&C/D&C dyes. Each shade retails for $28.
Perfecting Concealer’s creamy formula feels weightless on the skin and provides sheer coverage for skin discolorations and blemishes. The product is buildable and can be layered to achieve full coverage or used in lieu of foundation to even out skin tone for a natural, no makeup look. For maximum coverage, apply Perfecting Concealer to the skin and allow it to sit for a few minutes before blending it into the skin. Although Mirabella sells a specific brush for use with Perfecting Concealer, I prefer to use my ring finger to lightly tap a/k/a known as stipple the product into the skin without reducing coverage.
The long-wear formula contains ingredients known for their ability to heal and nourish the skin including, glycerin, Shea Butter, Vitamin E and Bisabolol, a skin conditioning agent derived from chamomile. Bisabolol contains high concentrations of panthenol (a form of vitamin B) that strengthens and improves the skin’s barrier function and acts as a humectant to attract moisture to the skin.
Perfecting Concealer is available in shades 1 through 5 from the Fitzpatrick Skin Type system. I love the way the formula adds radiance to the skin and provides coverage without settling into fine lines, especially around the delicate eye area. If you are a fan of contouring and highlighting these concealers work exceptionally well to create dimension to the face that looks natural on the skin. See the photos below where I used shades 1, 2 and 4 to create a natural, no makeup look without the use of blush or highlighter. The video also details placement for hollowing of the face which is common in thin women as we age.
I hope you enjoyed my review. Feel free to comment or post your questions below.
Sending peace, love and happiness to all!
