I am really excited to share a DIY gift idea that I came up with several months ago, a DIY Scripture Box filled with some of my favorite verses from the Bible. I began working on this project in November with the intention of giving it as a Christmas gift but once I got started, it became a very personal project. I didn’t want to give it to “just anyone” as it has taken me several years to accumulate these verses that have touched my heart and inspired me.
When it comes to giving gifts to those closest to me, I rarely purchase gift cards or store bought items. Instead, I like to be creative and come up with a gift idea that is not only personal but also relevant to my relationship with that person. Last weekend, we celebrated the birthday of one of my good friends, Kimmie and I realized there would be no better person to gift my DIY Scripture Box than her. Hope you are enjoying it dear friend!! <3
How to make a glass block scripture box
Items you will need:
- Deco glass block
- Avery Clear Full Sheet Labels
- Scriptures to include
- Clear elastics
- accessories (optional)
Step 1: Select verses to include in your scripture box.
Step 2: Print them out on paper (parchment paper looks beautiful in this scripture box!)
Step 3: Cut each scripture out and wrap it around a pencil. Carefully slide rolled scripture off of pencil and secure with a clear elastic
Step 5: Fill with rolled scriptures and decor accessories (optional)
Sending peace, love & happiness to all!
