kellys top 5 beauty product

Today’s blog post features my top 5 beauty product discoveries of 2015.

Beauty Product Omorovicza Instant Plumping

In January of last year, I discovered Omorovicza, a luxury skin care line that is sold at Avalon’s Cosmetic Market. Omorovicza has become a coveted staple in my skin care arsenal. My absolute favorite product from Omorovicza is a luxurious nighttime treatment, Instant Plumping Cream. This antiaging powerhouse formula performs far beyond what the name claims, using hyaluronic filling spheres to swell and plump the skin. After a single use my skin felt much softer to the touch and the fine lines around my eyes and mouth were less visible upon waking. Omorovicza Instant Plumping Cream has become my go to night treatment when I have a big event or meeting on the following day. Love, love love!!

Beauty Product By Terry Baume De Rose

By Terry is another brand that I discovered in 2015. In my opinion, the By Terry brand is one of the best cosmetic lines on the market today. Baume De Rose, By Terry’s most iconic product is one that I truly cannot live without! Baume De Rose is a nourishing and restorative balm designed for use on the lips however, I find it useful for rough dry cuticles and as a barrier over my eye cream at night. Pricy at $60 for .35oz but worth every single penny!

Prior to 2015, I had not experimented with the Trish McEvoy cosmetic line. To be honest, I specifically avoided it because I felt it was a very conservative color cosmetic brand and didn’t offer enough options for me. I never would have imagined that I would fall hard for many essentials in the Trish McEvoy line. In fact, I now consider several products as staples in my every day makeup application.

Beauty Product Trish-McEvoy-Eye-Base

Trish McEvoy Eye Base in bare is an absolute must for me as a lid primer. Bare Eye Base offers opaque coverage that completely camouflages lid darkness and brings my very deep-set eyes forward. Unlike some eye shadow primers and eye bases I have tried in the past, this one doesn’t leave the lid looking dry and crepey. Word of caution, this was not true for me when I used Eye Base in the shade Demure which has strong pink undertones and glitter-like flecks in the formula. I tried Demure first and was not a fan of this product. Once I found the right shade for my lid, Bare, I loved Trish McEvoy’s Eye Base and use it daily with or without shadow.

Beauty Product Trish-McEvoy-24-Hour

Trish McEvoy 24-Hour Eye Shadow and Liner in Rose Quartz has also become an everyday staple in my makeup routine. Trish makes several shades of this creamy eye shadow stick however all of the other shades are darker colors which I try to avoid since I have deep set eyes. With Rose Quartz being the official color of the year for 2016 I would imagine this shade would fly off the shelves. Unfortunately, this shade has been out of stock for months. I have been trying to make the last bit of my current shadow stick last and have very little left. I have gone so far as to call the customer service line for Trish McEvoy to inquire about availability but had to leave a voice mail. I have yet to hear back, very disappointing…

Beauty Product Mirabella Glossy Ginger

Although I have been a devout fan of cosmetic products from Mirabella Beauty since 2010, I had not discovered Colour Vinyl Lipstick in Glossy Ginger until last spring. Glossy Ginger is the most perfect shade of nude that I have every tried. The formula is very creamy and moisturizing however, it lasts much longer on the lips that traditional lip colors. The product marketing for Mirabella Colour Vinyl touts 10 hour wear however that has not been my experience with the product. Typical wear time for me has been about 4 hours. Less if I eat or drink as the product does transfer due to the creamy nature of the formula. You can bet that I will always have a Glossy Ginger in my purse as I now consider this my very favorite lip color for daily use.

I don’t wear makeup, but I do moisturize every day. My skin get so dry in the winter time.

The eye base sounds like a great product. I usually wear makeup, but my routine is very basic. A neutral primer would come in very handy.

I’ve always wanted to try Trish McEvoy but I just haven’t gotten around to it yet! 2015 was the year I really rediscovered and fell back in love with elf Cosmetics!

I should really buy some new beauty products this year! I have neglected things like that since being a SAHM but that is really no excuse! 🙂

I love the idea of this post. It’s wonderful to find things that really work as advertised, especially with so much misleading material out there. I don’t think I’ve been really impressed with a product in a long time, so I’ll take a look at some of your recommendations. I love that lipstick color.

    Best,
