into dust testimony

Happy worship Wednesday, all!  I am excited to share today’s featured music video, Into Dust, with you.  Before I share the song, I want to express my gratitude to fellow believer’s who aren’t afraid to share their testimonies. People who are not afraid to turn their mess into a powerful message that leads others to Christ.

I am inspired and encouraged by the message and ministry of Proverbs 31, and it’s founder, Lysa TerKeurst.  For the last two years, I have been an active member of Compel, a training resource for aspiring writers created by the PB31 ministry.  Being able to journal and document my journey of brokenness with Jesus has had a profound impact on my life and the healing process of becoming a woman firmly rooted in her identity in Christ.

As you may or may not know, Lysa TerKeurst just released a new book entitled, It’s Not Supposed to Be This Way, sharing her own story of suffering and redemption.  Her courage, the courage of her family to publically share how God is working miracles in seemingly impossible circumstances, is inspiring beyond words.  Into Dust by Mack Brock celebrates God’s omnipotent power and ability to speak life into our barren seasons of brokenness.  I pray that if you are in a season of brokenness, you too will find encouragement in Lysa’s story and the beautiful song, Into Dust.  May, the Lord Jesus Christ, speak love over you today, my friend.

Sending peace, love, and happiness to all!

Lyrics to Into the Dust by Mack Brock

[Verse 1]
It wasn’t meant to be this way
Broken beneath the grief and pain
There’s nothing left here
[Verse 2]
But into my dust, You poured Your grace
Lifted my head and spoke my name
You’ll see me through this
[Chorus 1]
You are the maker of my heart
You are the healer of my scars
God, I will trust in who You are
You are good, You speak life
Into dust
[Verse 3]
God, You were here right from the start
Holding each piece that broke apart
And I’ll trust You through this
[Chorus 2]
You are the maker of my heart
You are the healer of my scars
God, I will trust in who You are
You are good, You speak life
You are the Savior of the world
But carry the weight of all my hurt
You are the grace I don’t deserve
You are good, You speak life
Into dust
