Christmas brings the gift of Jesus

It’s Christmas eve and the most anticipated holiday of the year is almost here.

If your house is anything like mine today, there is a flurry of activity happening in preparation of celebrating with family and friends.  Before our thoughts get lost in the process, let’s take a moment to lift our eyes and hearts to heaven and acknowledge what this day means to us.  Express our gratitude for all the Lord has done, is doing and will continue to do for us, His beloved children, by glorifying Him in everything we do.

Dear Jesus, help us to spread Your fragrance everywhere we go.  Flood our souls with Your Spirit and Life.  Penetrate and possess our whole being so utterly that our lives may only be a radiance of Yours.

Shine through us and be so in us that every soul we come in contact with may feel Your presence in our souls.  Let them look up, and see no longer us, but only Jesus!

Stay with us and then we shall begin to shine as You shine, so to shine as to be a light to others.  The light, O Jesus, will be all from You; none of it will be ours.  It will be You, shining on others through us.

Let us thus praise You in the way You love best, by shining on those around us.  Let us preach You without preaching, not by words but by example, by the catching force, the sympathetic influence of what we do, the evident fullness of the love our hearts bear for You.

Amen.

CARDINAL JOHN HENRY NEWMAN

I invite you to watch the Christmas service below from North Point Community Church.  The music and message touched my heart and drew me closer to the Lord.  I pray it will do the same for you, my friend.  I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas!!

‘Seasons’ from our Christmas Album ‘The Peace Project’ available now at: http://hllsng.co/thepeaceproject

Lyrics:

VERSE 1:
Like the frost on a rose
Winter comes for us all
Oh how nature acquaints us
With the nature of patience
Like a seed in the snow
I’ve been buried to grow
For Your promise is loyal
From seed to sequoia

PRE-CHORUS:
I know

CHORUS:
Though the winter is long even richer
The harvest it brings
Though my waiting prolongs even greater
Your promise for me like a seed
I believe that my season will come

VERSE 2:
Lord I think of Your love
Like the low winter sun
As I gaze I am blinded
In the light of Your brightness
Like a fire to the snow
I’m renewed in Your warmth
Melt the ice of this wild soul
Till the barren is beautiful

BRIDGE:
I can see the promise
I can see the future
You’re the God of seasons
I’m just in the winter
If all I know of harvest
Is that it’s worth my patience
Then if You’re not done working
God I’m not done waiting

You can see my promise
Even in the winter
Cause You’re the God of greatness
Even in a manger

For all I know of seasons
Is that You take Your time
You could have saved us in a second
Instead You sent a child

TAG:
And when I finally see my tree
Still I believe there’s a season to come

VERSE 3:
Like a seed You were sown
For the sake of us all
From Bethlehem’s soil
Grew Calvary’s sequoia
