Jesus will never cease to amaze  you when you make the decision to proclaim Him as Lord and Savior over your life every single day.

Jesus and God’s Word

As part of my 10 week prayer journey with God through Beth Moore’s book, Whispers of Hope, I have daily acknowledged God’s right to rule in my life. Specifically asking Him each morning to make me immediately aware of times my thoughts cause me to depart from His authority throughout my day.

He is so faithful in honoring my request and oftentimes, quite comical. For example, yesterday I hadn’t even realized my thoughts were starting to go in a negative direction until I was jolted “back to truth” as I hit my shin on the corner of a chair. I literally laughed out loud and said, “Thank you for answering my prayer, I totally asked you to do that!”

One of the most beautiful aspects of having an active, daily, personal relationship with Jesus are moments just like this one. There are many experiences of intimate and authentic connection with Him throughout each day. Not much different than those we have with our closest friends and family. It becomes so very real to you. Not just in head knowledge but more importantly in heart knowledge and experience.

love of Jesus

Many people have asked me how I came to love spending time with God. The answer is simple…

invite Him into your life as Lord and Savior, talk to Him, have open eyes to see Him, open ears to hear Him and a heart that responds and is obedient to Him. If you are faithful in these things, I promise you, you too will fall head over heels in love with Jesus!

God doesn’t call us to be a bunch of religious, rule keeping people. He calls us to personal relationship with Him. It’s what He gave His son’s life for, what He wants most from us. I can honestly say that nothing I have experienced in my 50 years of living on this earth compares to the joy, peace and happiness I feel when spending time with Jesus❤️

There is a song called Loving my Jesus by Casting Crowns with lyrics that echo my heart’s deepest desire:  for those I know and love to love my Jesus too!

I have posted the lyrics below the video and hope this song and it’s message touches your heart the way it does mine.

Sending, peace, love & happiness to all!

LYRICS‬‬
‪‪I was a wandering soul‬‬
‪‪Traveling a well worn road‬‬
‪‪A sinner so far from home‬‬
‪‪No second chance in sight‬‬
‪‪I heard You call my name‬‬
‪‪I felt You lift my shame‬‬
‪‪And I made a vow that day‬‬
‪‪That I’d spend the rest of my life‬‬

‪‪Loving my Jesus‬‬
‪‪Showing my scars‬‬
‪‪Telling my story of how mercy‬‬
‪‪Can reach You where You are‬‬
‪‪And I pray the whole world hears‬‬
‪‪The cry of my heart‬‬
‪‪Is to see all the ones I love‬‬
‪‪Loving my Jesus‬‬

‪‪Sin tries to make you hide‬‬
‪‪Whispers that same old lie‬‬
‪‪Keep all your pain inside‬‬
‪‪’Cause no one will understand‬‬
‪‪The last thing this lost world needs‬‬
‪‪Is someone I’m trying to be‬‬
‪‪Truth that has set me free‬‬
‪‪Is that I’m just a broken man‬‬

‪‪Loving my Jesus‬‬
‪‪Showing my scars‬‬
‪‪Telling my story of how mercy‬‬
‪‪Can reach You where You are‬‬
‪‪And I pray the whole world hears‬‬
‪‪The cry of my heart‬‬
‪‪Is to see all the ones I love‬‬
‪‪Loving my Jesus‬‬

‪‪When all is said and done‬‬
‪‪When my last song’s been sung‬‬
‪‪I stand face to face with the One‬‬
‪‪Who gave all for me‬‬
‪‪May all I have to show‬‬
‪‪Be all that mattered most‬‬
‪‪Making Your great name known‬‬
‪‪Let this be my only legacy‬‬

‪‪Loving my Jesus‬‬
